best chinese in Lambeth!
The Victory used to be our, go to, local Chinese restaurant, but recently their prices have gone up and the portion sizes have gone down! Looks like we'll be trying out some other restaurant in the future!
I feel like you should pay close attention to recent reviews here. Very speedy delivery and the food was piping hot but I have to say the ingredients lacked quality. The beef was cheap, the battered chicken was chewy and overall it is clear that these guys are cutting costs by buying cheap meats and ingredients which is very obvious. Sorry to be negative but this was not a great eating experience.
bland food. haven’t ordered from here before so thought I would keep it safe and order prawn chow mein which was bland. salt and pepper squid was soggy. all together very bland Chinese. very disappointed
Didn’t taste great, chicken was slimey and the sauce didn’t taste as if it was made from scratch. the mixed stir fry veg was rank and so oily I couldn’t eat it. the chips were great. pretty disappointing overall.
I wish I’d listened to the recent reviews ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ AWFUL!!! I’ve had a few bites and feel sick so thrown away. Satay tasted burnt and overdone- a really sad dull flavourless meal :(
Would give 0 stars if i could. A horrible experience
The food didn't taste fresh (chow main noodle) The spicy squid was soggy and not worth for £5.50 Highly dissatisfied
Never thought I'd have to rate a meal as inedible, especially from a seemingly highly-rated restaurant, but unfortunately have to do so here. Two well-known dishes were staggeringly disgusting, whether that's the result of ordering something popular at prime time I don't know, but it's not an excuse. Crispy Shredded Beef - the sauce had minimal taste, while the beef was overly chewy and often grisly, so much so that I stopped after eating about a fifth because it was such an unpleasant experience. Sweet and Sour Chicken - again, a tasteless sauce. I didn't realise it was possible for sweet and sour sauce to be tasteless, surely the very name should ensure it's not! Ate about a quarter of this meal before the taste and texture of a particular bit of chicken caused me to gag and spit it out. In other words, the quality of the meat across both meals was seriously poor. One positive? The vegetable spring rolls were nice.
The food was ok. It's far from the best quality.
Foood arrived quickly very hot and very delicious I would recommend this Chinese as its great value and you get your money's worth
Spring rolls and chicken balls were soggy. The ho-fun was nice though
The chicken and rice were great but the beef was a little grisly
Quick delivery... amazing noodles.
Super speedy delivery, super hot food! Flavorsome, not greasy and good portions. Would definitely order again. Thank you!
